I remember
When we were together
Tender moments
Two hearts entwined
Slowly growing
The gentle knowing
I remember
When love was blind
Golden slumbers
Blissful dreaming
I remember
Those precious times
Sweet conversation
Without translation
I remember
Two of a kind
I still remember
The joy and peaceful calm
Before the storm
That tore our world apart
You were gone
It broke my heart
But still I carried on
Then I was born
Hanging high and dry
Did you feel my pain
Broken and bruised
Cold and confused
Did you feel the same
When I was crying
Were you crying too
Two of a kind
No longer entwined
You had no name
I still remember
I remember
When love was blind
We loved each other
We loved our mother
I remember
Those precious times
You’re all that’s good in me
You still surround me
You’re my shadow
I’ll never let you go
You’re in the air I breathe
You’re all around me
You’re my footprints
In the falling snow
Hanging high and dry
You could feel my pain
Broken and bruised
So cold and confused
You felt the same
When I was crying
You were crying too
Two of a kind
Forever entwined
I Still Remember

I saw a TV documentary about twins inside the womb. It was amazing!
They kissed on the lips and clearly communicated with each other.
It inspired me to let my imagination go back in time, and write this song for my twin, who didn't survive.
