Maggie Adams, Songwriter
V1
We missed your love, growing up
No-one filled the void
No-one tried so we self relied
We didn’t have a choice
Chorus 1
Wrong time, wrong place, no saving grace
But time was on your side
Your mind had gone but your heart lived on
For such a long long time
V2
There is no love, like a mother’s love
No-one filled the void
We missed your kiss, your loving touch
Your reassuring voice
Chorus 2
They say time heals, perhaps it does
That grief is proof of love
But no amount of grieving time
Will heal the hurt in us
MUSIC
Chorus 3
They say time heals, perhaps it does
That grief is proof of love
But no amount of grieving time
Will fill the void in us

Story behind the song:
Our Mum sustained a serious brain injury in an RTA in 1964, when she was 29 years old. My sister was 7 and I was 8. She had been in hospital for almost 58 years when she passed away.
I didn’t plan on writing this song. It came to me after being deeply moved listening to Sarah Pierce’s spontaneous piano playing - Peace In The Storm.
